The WisBlock LPWAN Module Arduino EU868 – RAK4631 is a WisBlock Core module combining the Nordic nRF52840 MCU with BLE 5.0 and Semtech SX126x LoRa® transceivers for superior range and energy efficiency.
Compared to the older SX127x series, the SX126x transceivers provide:
Better Power Efficiency: Extend battery life for remote IoT nodes
Higher TX Power: Up to +22 dBm output
Enhanced Link Budget: Up to 170 dB for reliable long-distance coverage
The module includes a temperature-compensated crystal oscillator (TXCO) for stable operation across wide temperature ranges and supports multiple communication interfaces: UART, I²C, SPI, ADC, USB, and GPIOs.
When paired with a WisBlock Base Board, the RAK4631 integrates seamlessly with a range of WisBlock sensor and IO modules — perfect for battery- or solar-powered LoRaWAN® end nodes.
