The WisBlock RAK3401 BLE Core Module is designed for custom Bluetooth sensor devices, local monitoring and battery-powered IoT projects. It combines the Nordic nRF52840 microcontroller with Bluetooth Low Energy 5.0, providing processing and wireless connectivity in a compact, modular platform.
Use it to collect sensor readings, transmit data to a nearby compatible BLE receiver, or develop Bluetooth peripherals and control devices. Its 64MHz processor, 1MB Flash and 256KB RAM support custom applications developed using Arduino IDE or PlatformIO.
Through a compatible WisBlock Base Board, you can add sensors, displays, interfaces and suitable battery or solar power arrangements. This makes the RAK3401 a practical starting point for developing and adapting your own connected devices.
The RAK3401 provides BLE connectivity without an onboard LoRa radio. For projects needing an external LoRa transceiver, it can also be combined with the RAK13302 and a suitable base board, power supply and application firmware.
