The WisBlock Base Board 2nd Gen – RAK19007 is the improved version of the standard WisBlock RAK5005-O base board. It provides the foundation for your WisBlock solution by connecting the WisBlock Core, sensors, and IO modules through standardised expansion connectors.
 

Key Improvements Over Previous Generation:

 

  • USB Type-C Connector: Modern, durable, and reversible for easy use

  • Dedicated GNSS Support: Allows GNSS modules without blocking sensor slots

  • Improved Voltage Regulation: High-efficiency, low quiescent current step-down converter

 

The RAK19007 is designed for battery operation, featuring an integrated lithium battery charger circuit. Charging can be done via the USB Type-C connector or an optional solar panel connector.

 

Once the battery is fully charged, the charger stops automatically, protecting the battery. The power is then distributed to WisBlock modules via a 750 mA step-down converter, providing a stable 3.3 V supply.
