The WisBlock 1W LoRa Module – RAK13302 (SX1262 + SKY66122) is a high-power LoRa transceiver designed to significantly extend communication range and improve signal reliability in challenging environments.
Built on the Semtech SX1262 and enhanced with a SKY66122 RF front-end booster, this module delivers up to 1W transmission power, enabling stronger links, improved receiver sensitivity, and more stable long-range communication.
Designed for integration within the WisBlock ecosystem, the RAK13302 is compatible with specific platforms including the RAK3401 WisBlock Core, RAK6421 Raspberry Pi WisBlock HAT, and WisGate Connect IO slot, making it a flexible upgrade for high-performance deployments.
⚠️ Important: This module requires a 5V power supply due to its high-power output stage and cannot operate from 3.3V alone.
⚠️ Regional Note: While this variant supports EU868 / IN865 / RU864 frequencies, maximum transmission power is subject to regional regulations. The full 1W output is not permitted in many regions, including the EU.
📍 🇬🇧 UK Use (Important): This module is capable of up to 1W (30 dBm) output, but UK licence-free LoRa operation is regulated by Ofcom. In most common LoRaWAN channels (EU868), transmit power is limited to 14 dBm (25 mW), and even in higher-power sub-bands the maximum is 27 dBm (500 mW). This means the full 1W output cannot be used in the UK without a licence. The module can still be used effectively by reducing transmit power in software, where the improved receiver sensitivity and RF performance continue to provide benefits.
