What is a LoRaWAN Gateway?

®

This type of gateway receives data from sensors using LoRaWAN   and sends it to the internet or your platform.

®

LoRaWAN    is a radio broadcast technology. Multiple sensors can talk to multiple gateways, building resilience into  the system.

Edge gateways can process data locally and make decisions without relying on the cloud or platform.

Gateways collect data from devices across your site and send it to your platform for monitoring, alerts and automation.

Gateways also work in the other direction - enabling remote control, configuration and updates of connected devices.

Our engineers have selected our range for reliability and usability. Choose an indoor or outdoor gateway depending on where it will be installed and the coverage you need.

Why LoRaWAN ?

®

Long-range, low-power, encrypted communication designed for sensor networks, ideal for monitoring, tracking and automation across large areas.

Indoor vs Outdoor

Indoor Gateways

For controlled environments

stand-alone_or_network.png

Used in residential, commercial and industrial buildings, indoor gateways are installed in controlled or sheltered environments and are suitable for everything from small standalone sites through to larger connected deployments. Depending on the gateway model, they can support Ethernet, Wi-Fi and optional cellular connectivity, operating either as a single gateway or as part of a wider network.

Outdoor Gateways

For exposed environments and wide-area coverage

Used where gateways need to operate outside or in harsh environments, outdoor gateways are designed for exposed installations such as rooftops, poles, masts and external walls. With weatherproof IP-rated enclosures, they support reliable long-term operation across single-site and wide-area deployments, with Ethernet, fibre and cellular backhaul options depending on the gateway model. Outdoor gateways can operate as standalone units or as part of a larger distributed network.
