The Milesight TS601-L0DEU is a cellular temperature and humidity monitoring sensor purpose-built for cold-chain applications where goods may move beyond the coverage of a local LoRaWAN network.
Rather than requiring a LoRaWAN gateway, the TS601 uses LTE Cat.1 cellular connectivity to report monitoring data remotely. This makes it particularly suited to refrigerated vehicles, logistics operations, medical coolers and temperature-sensitive shipments where monitoring needs to continue while goods are in transit.
Built-in temperature and humidity sensing monitors environmental conditions from -35°C to +70°C and 0–100% RH. The TS601 also incorporates light sensing, which can indicate when a container or compartment is opened, and tilt detection to identify abnormal movement or changes in orientation.
Cellular base-station positioning provides approximate location information without requiring a separate GPS receiver, helping operators follow the movement of monitored cargo. Threshold alarms allow significant events to be reported promptly, while routine measurements can be collected and transmitted less frequently to conserve battery life.
For traceability and resilience, the TS601 can store up to 5,000 data entries and supports data retransmission. NFC configuration allows settings and thresholds to be adjusted using a compatible mobile device without opening the IP67 enclosure.
With a food-grade housing, flexible mounting options and long-life replaceable batteries, the TS601 provides an integrated monitoring solution for cold-chain storage and transportation without requiring external temperature probes.
