The Milesight SS21 PN03-150 is a magnetic contact switch accessory designed for use with Milesight TS301 and TS302 monitoring devices.
The two-part magnetic contact can be installed across a door, lid or other opening, allowing the connected Milesight device to detect changes in its open or closed state. This makes it particularly useful where temperature monitoring needs to be combined with information about access to the monitored space.
For example, in refrigeration and cold-chain applications, knowing that a temperature has changed tells only part of the story. Adding a magnetic contact can help establish whether a refrigerator, freezer or temperature-controlled cabinet has been opened, providing additional context for monitoring and alerts.
A 1.5 m cable allows the contact switch to be positioned away from the connected TS301 or TS302, while screw and adhesive mounting options provide flexibility during installation.
When used with a compatible LoRaWAN TS30x device, opening-status data can form part of a wider remote monitoring system using LoRaWAN gateways, networks and IoT dashboards.
