The WisGate Edge Pro RAK7289CV2 is a rugged RAK7289CV2 16-channel LoRaWAN gateway, designed for outdoor professional and industrial IoT deployments requiring increased LoRaWAN capacity and reliable LTE connectivity.

Built around dual SX1303-based LoRa concentrators, the 16-channel RAK7289CV2 combines Ethernet, Wi-Fi and LTE backhaul with an IP67 / NEMA-6 enclosure, providing flexible connectivity for large and distributed outdoor LoRaWAN networks.

The gateway runs WisGateOS 2, with built-in LoRaWAN network server functionality, MQTT integration and remote management through WisDM. Internal Wi-Fi, LTE and GPS antennas help keep installation tidy, while the two LoRa antenna connections use external antennas.

This listing is specifically for the 16-channel EU868 RAK7289CV2 WisGate Edge Pro with LTE.

For UK LoRaWAN deployments, use the EU868 frequency plan.

Two LoRa antennas are required and are not included

This 16-channel model has two LoRa antenna connections and requires two compatible external LoRa antennas. Suitable antenna options are listed in the USED WITH section.

LTE Connectivity

The RAK7289CV2 supports LTE connectivity. A suitable SIM and cellular service are required if you intend to use LTE backhaul.

If you choose a SIMGubbins plan, we can install the included SIM and test the cellular connection before dispatch when purchased with our Gateway Configuration Service.

Solar & Off-Grid Power

Do not connect a solar charger directly to the gateway. RAK warns that direct use of solar chargers can cause over-voltage damage and void the warranty.

For supported solar or off-grid operation, the RAK7289CV2 can be used with RAK Battery Plus, which provides the appropriate power-management system between the solar supply and gateway.
