The WisGate Edge Pro RAK7289CV2 is a rugged 8-channel outdoor LoRaWAN gateway designed for professional IoT deployments requiring reliable connectivity in demanding environments.

Built around the SX1303 LoRa core, the RAK7289CV2 combines Ethernet, Wi-Fi and LTE backhaul with an IP67 / NEMA-6 enclosure, giving you flexible options for connecting outdoor LoRaWAN networks to the internet.

The gateway runs WisGateOS 2, with built-in LoRaWAN network server functionality, MQTT integration and remote management through WisDM. Internal Wi-Fi, LTE and GPS antennas help keep installation tidy, while the LoRa antenna connects externally.

This listing is specifically for the 8-channel EU868 RAK7289CV2 WisGate Edge Pro with LTE.

For UK LoRaWAN deployments, use the EU868 frequency plan.

A LoRa antenna is not included. This 8-channel gateway requires one compatible external LoRa antenna (see USED WITH section).

The RAK7289CV2 supports LTE connectivity. A suitable SIM and cellular service are required if you intend to use LTE backhaul. If you choose a SIMGubbins plan, we can install the included SIM and test the cellular connection before dispatch when purchased with our Gateway Configuration Service.

Do not connect a solar charger directly to the gateway. RAK warns that direct use of solar chargers can cause over-voltage damage and void the warranty.

For supported solar or off-grid operation, the RAK7289CV2 can be used with RAK Battery Plus, which provides the appropriate power-management system between the solar supply and gateway.
