The WisBlock SDI-12 Interface Module – RAK13010 allows WisBlock systems to interface with a wide range of SDI-12 sensors, commonly used in environmental monitoring, agriculture and industrial measurement applications.
SDI-12 is a low-speed, serial communication protocol (1200 baud) designed for reliable data transfer over long cable runs using a simple three-wire connection. The RAK13010 acts as the interface between the WisBlock Core and SDI-12 devices, supporting a single master with multiple slave sensors on the same bus.
The module provides a 12 V output supply for connected SDI-12 sensors, with the option to use an external 12 V source if required. Communication with the WisBlock Core is handled via UART, enabling straightforward integration into existing firmware.
Its wide operating temperature range and compact form factor make it suitable for outdoor and industrial deployments, particularly in environmental sensing systems.
